You Can Have What You Say
Most Christians who are defeated in their finances are defeated because they believe and confess the wrong things. They have spoken the words of the enemy, and those words hold them in bondage. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 17:20, …for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. And in Mark 11:23, For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
God’s Laws VS. Man’s Natural Laws
In these passages of Scripture, Jesus Christ tells us that what we believe and speak affects the natural world, including our finances. God has given us His Word so that we can understand these spiritual laws that govern the universe. There are spiritual laws just as there are natural laws, such as gravity and the law of lift. When you work with these laws, they work for you. When you work against God’ spiritual laws, they work against you.
When you speak negatively about your financial situation, you can have what you say and believe.
With your words you can choose life or death, poverty or riches, sickness or health. You may tithe (give 10 percent to the church), give in offering, work hard, and pray for prosperity every day, but if your words are negative and contrary to God’s Word, you could stay mired in debt, struggling to make ends meet.
Words are powerful, but God’s Word is full of creative power. When you agree with what God has said about you and speak His Word, your circumstances will begin to change and line up with His will for your life.
If you have any doubt that God wants you to prosper, you will not be able to release faith for your finances. Whatever you believe and speak will control your financial situation. Begin by confessing what God’s Word says about your finances.
Speak God’s Word Over Your Finances
As you confess what God says about you, it changes you and your circumstances. Don’t let your words of doom and failures defeat you in life. Set a watch on your mouth and stop those doubt-filled, negative words. They do not agree with God and His Plans for You (Jeremiah 29:11).
When things look bad, it’s better to keep your mouth shut than to go around “poor-mouthing”, telling everyone your financial woes.
You’ll dig yourself a hole so deep that you may never get out! But if you take time to program your heart by saying what God says about you, you can have victory over apparent financial defeat. You are then activating faith in God’s word. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1)
Do NOT say the following words:
“Money doesn’t grow on trees.”
“I can’t afford…”
“I am on a fixed income.”
Statements such as these put you in bondage to a belief in lack and hold your finances in bondage. Remember Jesus Christ said “You shall have whatsoever you say”
Speak to Your MOUNTAIN of Debt: The Story of “Harvey”
This is the true story of a man we will call “Harvey”. “Harvey” started a housing subdivision. He borrowed money to put in water, sewer, and streets, and had acquired a MOUNTAIN of debt.
Jesus Christ told him to speak to the mountain and it would be removed (Matthew 21:21). He got all of his mortgages out and laid them on his kitchen table. He spoke to the mortgage notes and said
“Listen to me. I’m talking to you. Jesus Christ said you would obey me. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I command you, I say to you, BE PAID IN FULL…DEMATERIALIZE…DEPART…BE GONE…IN JESUS CHRIST NAME, YOU WILL OBEY ME!”
Remember that the word of God is very practical. In other words, you can apply it literally. If you have a MOUNTAIN of debt, speak to it. Eventually, over the next few months, the notes and mortgages that “Harvey” acquired were PAID in FULL!
During the Wait, ALWAYS Keep the Faith
While you are waiting for the MOUNTAIN of debt to go away, do not doubt. Stay consistent and do NOT let your own words sabotage your desires to eliminate the debt. Tears of self-pity and sorrow never release faith. Proclaim, declare and decree God’s word over your debt. Remember, Jesus Christ said that “you shall have whatsoever you say” (Mark 11:23)
