My godmother and my sister-in-law passed away about 5 months ago within 2 days of each other. My beloved Mother passed away about a month ago.
God has given me GREAT comfort through this very difficult road of grief. They all knew Christ Jesus and are present with God. Soon, those of us that know and love Christ Jesus, will either pass away from this life or be raptured upon Jesus Christ’s return. Either way ALL troubles will be over. We will see our beloved loved ones again who died in Christ. We also have hope that one day there will be no more sickness, death, sorrow, illness or any other troubles of this world. We must always fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on eternal life through Christ Jesus. Serve Christ Jesus with a pure heart and allow Him to be Lord of our lives.
Do not be weary in well doing. Do not lose heart because many faithful Christians are passing away. Keep your faith in Jesus Christ. Remember that God will not leave you comfortless or hopeless. He will come to you and comfort you and give you hope. Jeremiah 29:11 references that God’s thoughts of us are to give us hope and a future. It is not God’s will for us to feel hopeless because loved ones have passed on. He will meet you at whatever point you are in grieving – whether it’s closure, unanswered questions, etc. He can replace the spirit of heaviness with the garment of praise.
Be encouraged because soon all trouble will be DONE away with and we will be in the presence of God forever.
Be Encouraged. God Bless you!
It brings me great comfort in knowing that our loved ones, who have died in Christ, are in a much better place. They are at rest. No more suffering; No more pain. They have finished their work on earth, and received a Crown of Righteousness.
It is always hard on those of us who are left behind, because we are left with an empty space in our hearts — which once was filled by our loved ones. We miss them dearly. But, God wants to fill the empty spaces in our hearts, with His love. He specializes in filling the cracks and crevices, and putting together the broken pieces of our lives. God IS everything we need.
I feel blessed to have had my now-deceased loved ones for the short time I did. I am left with wonderful memories of a life-together, filled with love.
Thank You Dawn for sharing, and using your gift to encourage. God truly is on our side, and has BIG plans for us, to bring Him glory on the earth.
God Bless!
Well said Jeanita. Thank you very much for the encouragement.
