In the beginning God…..

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth [Genesis 1:1]. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. [Genesis 1:26-27]

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made [St. John 1:1-3].

Everything and Everyone had beginning with God.  There is nobody beyond or outside God. In him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, for we are also his offspring [Acts 17:28]

GOD IS

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him [Hebrews 11:6]. Believe that God exists. God is Which was, and IS and IS to come. God has us covered from every perspective. God was already in our past. God is in our presence. God is in our future. God is in our tomorrow before we get to tomorrow. God didn’t come from anywhere.  God is.

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. [Psalms 90:2] God is on every side of me, left, front, right, behind, etc.

There is no explaining where God came from. You can’t explain something coming from something when it ALWAYS was.

We know that from nothing, nothing comes. So, if there were ever a time when there was absolutely nothing in existence, then nothing would have ever come into existence. But things do exist. Therefore, since there could never have been absolutely nothing, something had to have always been in existence. That ever-existing thing is what we call God.

God is the uncaused Being that caused everything else to come into existence. God is the uncreated Creator who created the universe and everything in it.

The Genius of God

God spoke His word and brought the cosmos into existence.  He made the universe. God also has heavens many. God is the most ingenious one. Humans at the pinnacle of their genius will NEVER approach the genius of God. Everything that humans made was made from something else; however, when God made the universe he made it out of nothing. The Universe was not created from pre-existing material.

God just spoke His word and said “Let there be……” God called the world into existence with ONLY His word, not a toolbox, etc.  God brought things into existence through the power of his word.

God is the ingredient that brings essence to life. Without God we can do nothing.  We cannot survive without God.  Do NOT forget who has made you.  God’s word is holding us together, not just our spine, vertebrae, etc.

We are unable to live without God. For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, for we are also his offspring. [Acts 17:28] We could not live without God.  It’s not your own strength that’s holding you together. It’s God that gave you strength. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. [Psalms 121:1,2]

God Made Humans Unique

When God made human beings, He made us special and unique. God molded all of us in a unique manner. No one else has the same mold as someone else. We have this treasure in earthen vessels (or jars of clay), that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us [II Corinthians 4:7]

God took time to mold every human being in a special and unique manner. Humans are the prodigy of God’s creation.

Reflections on the Presence of God

One of the challenges we face as humans is sensing God’s presence and knowing He is there. God is SO smart that He can allow us to sense him physically through the touch of a flower that He allowed to grow so intricately, through viewing the billions of living creatures on this earth and beyond that He provides life and more to, through the smell of the oceans that he created, through the taste of water after a drought, and through His touch that allows our bodies to be healed.

God is REAL.

Prayer of Thanksgiving to God Almighty

Lord God we come before You with thanksgiving and praise. We praise and honor Your holy Name. Thank You for the wonderful creation that You created and everything that we see. Thank You for the air we breathe, the ground we walk on, the food we eat and the water we drink. Thank You for the sun that shines in the day and the moon that gives its light at night.

Lord God You spoke everything into existence. You breathed life into our nostrils. The psalmist sings ‘How great is our God? Sing with me. How great is our God? All will see how great, how great is our God?’ You hung every star in the sky and called each one by name. You are awesome and magnificent. You alone are holy and righteous. O Lord God, You are the true lover of our souls.

You have the ultimate best in mind for Your children. [Jeremiah 29:11] No eye has seen and no ear has heard all that You have in store for those that love and obey You Oh Lord God. We bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord. Let our lives be an instrument of praise and worship. Let everything we do and say bring a sweet aroma of praise to You O God. We lift up holy hands without doubting and we praise You and glorify You. Let Your praises be on our lips and in our hearts.

Let us meditate on Your praises throughout the day in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord God, let everything that we do and say be an act of praise and worship to You, O Lord my God. Lord God, we offer up our lives to You. Let them be filled with praise and worship to You. Let us dance as David danced and let us lift up our voice to You. Let us rejoice for You alone are good and Your mercies endureth forever. We praise and exalt Your holy Name.
